Rock Queen, lipsticks and high heels makes you rape

i am utterly disappointed yet amused with PAS Youth's recent comments on Ella our Malaysian rock queen that she brings a really bad influence to the young people in Malaysia. again the reason was again aurat and entertainment.

does Ella make you wanna masturbate?

the first thing that came to my mind was, "damn, this PAS people must be damn good cuz they grab more attention than my blog."

it got the attention of so many people that even the Sultan of Selangor's attention was grabbed and it made into last week's headlines. Hmm.. something must be really wrong when even the Sultan of Selangor makes noise. Our Sultan of Selangor is like Nicole of Pussycat Dolls. Not the dressing but the popularity and he stands out like a rockstar himself. respect man.

our sultan rocks more than Linkin Park man.

So, PAS Youth's way of oversimplifying rape cases and social ills to entertainment alone is questionable and can be likened to the way a 5 year old kid thinks.

PAS Youth says entertainment will bring in social ills. But only bad entertainment will result in social ills. I don't expect Ella or Mas Idayu to start stripping down to their undies and create sensual moves during a concert or something similar to that.

these are basically PAS Youth's way of gaining publicity. a bad one that is.

and i thought the show was over. Yesterday, another shocking thing happened. Muslim women in Kelantan are not allowed to wear high heels and use lipsticks. I mean the idea of practising Islam is fine by me cuz in some way, every religion promotes morality and good stuff i guess but not to the point of taking the rights of a women to do whatever it takes to make them feel confident about themselves.

Is it wrong to look pretty? Is it wrong to look taller? It's a violation of human rights! this is sexism!

and though PAS replied in the papers today that it was just a guideline and not a total ban, the damage is already done.

you see the problem is with the party itself. It assumes that every good bloke, young and old will feel aroused whenever they see something attractive. and when good men get aroused, they'll just go and grab any girl they see and start raping her. these attractive things will lead to the social ills that PAS assumes that will turn into a reality if good entertainment, lipsticks and high heels are not banned. This is another form of sexism itself!

it tries to make people think that the men in Malaysia are all stupid, shallow and got no brains. it tries to make people think that Malaysian men will get an erection everytime they see an attractive thing. i can't seem to remember anything about getting an erection when i watched My Chemical Romance last December. Anyone of you here feels like raping someone whenever you go to a concert? please enlighten me.

are you aroused now? PAS thinks so..

this statement will also bring bad effects also in the long run if this kind of ban is put in place. imagine not a single Muslim woman in Kelantan who covers up will be able to feel sexy about themselves anymore. Not a single one will be able to show men or even attract them anymore as PAS says men in Malaysia are shallow and got no brains and goes only for things that seem attractive to them. This will in turn make men in Kelantan to fly to KL while the poor women in Kelantan will become spinsters for their whole lives. reduces the population as no more copulation in Kelantan and it'll bring adverse effects to the productivity of our country.

I remembered that Beyonce Knowles once declined to have a concert due to the restrictions in the dress codes and bullshit like that. it made Malaysia a laughing stock in the States as the news appeared on the Entertainment Online channel on Astro late last year. so if Ella is considered a bad influence, i guarantee you Malaysia will only have men artistes in the future. that'll certainly be more dangerous as we are now all so attracted to men that homosexuals will be born.

and i can't believe a woman said this. taken from The Star:

"State Women Affairs Committee chairman Wan Ubaidah Wan Omar was reported to have said that she supported the circular and asked why women should enslave themselves to attract men by wearing high-heels and excessive lipstick."

can this lady tell us truthfully that she has not tried lipstick or tried on a pair of heels in her life?

and there's nothing wrong with the heels. i mean even most religious women won't tutup the part of their feet. unless the PAS guys thinks they are short. if heels cannot where. this cannot do that cannot do, a few years time, this will be what we will be wearing..

the gunny sack dress.. the "in" thing of the future

time to improve welfare of society. social ills can only be curbed through upbringing. PAS should try to fight for rakyat in terms of poverty and handling state affairs professionally. i am sure that there are many other ways in curbing social ills other than restricting this and that you know what i'm saying?

basically, morality cannot be teached. and rape cases cannot be eliminated just like that. you'll never eliminate such cases but you are able to minimise them. It all starts from home. If you noticed that rempit cases, rape cases and other social ills are all because of kids not getting attention from their parents? if they are given attention, then the parents must be doing it the wrong way.

nuffsaid, my point is we can still shape the way our country will look like in the future if all parents can pay lots of attention to their kids and not just keeping on producing and producing like cats if they think they are unable to provide the best for their younglings.

damn emo.

Aaaaaarrghhh! Okay... if it's becoz of health reason I would understand.

Other than that, I, a Muslim woman who recently reformed into a goody-goody dull-for-nothing femelle, say "f**k the what?"!!!!!

Wei those PAS people should thank their lucky star they are not active in Sarawak here cos if they are, for sure there would be flying high heels heading their ways. Heels with "parang" attach to it.

Damn mental la. This is the kind of thing that created Muslim terrorist in the Middle East. Fanatical lunacy. I've studied Islam since craddle and so far there's no indication that the Prophet says, Thou shalt not wear high heels

Again... Aaaaaaghhh!

Listen smart-ass, who the f*ck are you to mess around and 'sibuk' in matters that should be addressed by Muslims? :-(

Mind your own bloody business la.

Malay Women in Malaysia

balqiz: Lol. i agree. actually it's time to keep up with times but yet still uphold high moral values in yourself.

johnny ong: yea, oversimplification of matters doesn't help.

saidul a shaari: i'm sure using the word fuck does not make you more muslim than the rest.

i agree that i am a non-muslim and it's not that i want to sibuk with "your" matters. i would rather put it as "our" matters although this is a Muslim-only thing because i'm speaking as a Malaysian who cares for my brothers and sisters in Kelantan.

i mean i don't condemn the way they practise their rituals as it is their obligation to God. but i see them as friends regardless of race and religion, because i am sure Islam promotes healthy values as well.

as quoted from Raja Petra from his What is Islam post:

"Whether you are truly a Muslim at heart or just a ‘show’ Muslim would be subject to whether you really have faith or akidah. And akidah can never be in the rituals you perform. It has to be something that rests in your head and lies in your heart. Which means you have no control over akidah. Either you have it or you don’t. You can’t ‘perform’ akidah like you can your prayers, fasting, Haj, and so on."

and because of these words i believe with a strong 'akidah' rape can never happen even if lipsticks and heels are allowed. plus, a quick check at wikipedia will tell you that the psychology behind rape is far beyond petty things like lipsticks and heels and even good entertainment.

saudara saidul,
this is my blog and my personal opinion. and you can always disagree with me. and if i offended you in a way, then i am sorry. but to ask me to mind my own bloody business, i cannot because i am still a Malaysian and domestic issues regardless of religion concerns me.

plus, i'm sure you watch TV right? all tv programmes contain women in heels and lipstick. even the female newscaster uses lipstick. if you think that banning lipstick is good then fine. but i hope you'll live up to that opinion of yours by boycotting tv.stop watching tv and all. and i don't believe you have abandoned TV in your life. so, stop being a hypocrite. plus i read a post on your side regarding megarotic's traffic. how did you know megarotic is a porn site? must have done your 'research' eh.

Whatever it is sorry if i have offended any of the Muslims who feel offended by this post.

anyway, have a nice day saudara saidul :)

remember to turn off TV tonight ok.

PAS ppl are constantly in the news for the wrong reasons. Always going backwards.

I was told personally by a fren in Kelantan that the media deliberately twist all PAS's stories. The fact was that PAS "discourage" usage of women wearing lipstick and high heels, not BAN it entirely. It's like, if the women in kelantan want to listen to PAS, then PAS won't sue nor jail nor kill them nor fine them.

Personally when I think it over, it kinda make sense. BN rules Msia. BN want to make PAS looks so bad that no one want to support PAS. For those who lived far away from PAS's influences, we rely on the media to give us updates and such and whatever that we are being fed, that's the info we absorb.

Sigh... that is why I'm allergic with news. Yes, I dont watch the news. It depresses me too much to know that I dont know whether what I read/watch is the truth or a fabricated one...

Just my two cents

Exactly! If you want your people to think that make up is bad... You eventually bring up people who would think that it is!

I thought that was one of the dumbest things that came out in the papers.

It's immature and childish.

If only their 3rd world mentalities would blossom and show people that if they just respect people for who they are, the true meaning of freedom would emerge. ..

Keyword : Respect. Not Make up! Dufus'

This statement sounds so patriarchal I wouldn't be surprised if it was done by a bunch of chauvinistic pigs

Simon Ho said...

balqiz: yea.. i heard that from another blogger too and i felt that maybe the words were indeed twisted.i do agree that alot of news are fabricated and far from the truth as our mainstream media is still controlled by the government.

if you see in the previous elections, BN ads have appeared in almost everywhere while we do not see any PR ads at all.

that's why we need to rely on alternatives like malaysiakini (althought it's quite pro-opposition at times) and other socio-political bloggers too.

alexis-marie: the only respect i see from them will be amongst the ppl who share the same ideologies and theories with them.
